NewMEDICA 2026 Opens in Düsseldorf on 16 November
Published

MEDICA, one of the largest international trade fairs for medical technology and healthcare, returns to Messe Düsseldorf in Germany from 16 to 19 November 2026. COMPAMED, the fair for the supply side of medical technology, takes place at the same venue alongside it, in Halls 8a and 8b.
For 2026 the organiser has changed how the fair is arranged. Based on surveys of exhibitors and visitors carried out at the 2025 edition, exhibits are being grouped into main areas by need and application, with the aim of making it easier for visitors to find what is relevant to them. The themes announced include clinical diagnostics, therapeutic technologies, digital medicine, data and artificial intelligence, integrated care, health infrastructure, education and global health.
Specialist forums, special shows and conferences are being built into the programme by theme, so the exhibition floor and the discussions around it follow the same structure.
COMPAMED looks at medical technology from the supplier’s side. Its listed areas include manufacturing, components and systems, materials and surface technologies, software and digitalisation, and compliance and market access.
For hospitals, distributors and procurement teams, a fair of this size offers a view of how the sector is developing in one place. Reviewing the themes and exhibitor lists before travelling makes it easier to plan meetings around specific equipment and supply needs.
Opening hours, tickets and exhibitor information are published by the organiser, Messe Düsseldorf. Dates and details can change, so it is worth confirming them on the official MEDICA website before planning a visit.
