Five Containers, One Shipment
NORTH LAB has supplied five containers of medical equipment and supply products as a single shipment. The five photos on this page show one container each, so the full shipment can be seen at a glance.
Moving five containers together takes more planning than five separate loads. The order in which containers arrive at the loading bay, which cartons go into which container, and when each one is closed all have to be fixed before the first carton is lifted.
Planning the Load Across Five Containers
Before loading began, the packing list was split into five parts, one per container, with each part sized to fill its container without leaving empty space at the doors. Keeping the split simple means the receiving team can check each container against its own section of the list instead of searching across all five.
Heavier cartons went in first, against the far wall and close to the floor, with lighter cartons stacked above and towards the doors. Each layer was kept level so the stack stays square during the journey by road and sea.
Checked One by One Before Departure
Every container was looked over while empty, photographed as it filled, and photographed again once full. Only then were the doors closed and sealed, and the details recorded against the shipping documents.
Doing these checks container by container, rather than once at the end, means a problem with one container is caught while it can still be fixed, and the other four can carry on loading without delay.
